Both parties use the technology differently and in different
ways. I mean democrats and progressives,
I think, I think have build much bigger blogosphere, a much bigger conversation
and a much bigger network. The
republicans and conservatives are much better about hopping a story off a
ridiculous website – blog somewhere, a small blog that no one’s ever heard of
and bring it up the food chain to Drudge and pop it up to Fox and into the
mainstream media. They’re far better at
that.
So, I mean, you know, on delivering a message that – or an
attack, I’d say, you know, give the republicans a higher grade than the
democrats and progressives. If it’s
about bottom up organizing, bottom up community, blogs, conversation, leading a
debate and discussion, it’s clearly the progressives that are leading the
charge there.
A lot of it has to do with the – what both parties need and democrats and progressives have always wanted, have lacked at bringing small donors and the grassroots up. That’s what the republicans built their ascendancy on that kind of a movement. Democrats are just starting to do that and that’s why I think they’re doing much better on the net.
